As a Senior Systems Analyst with the Information Technology (IT) Cloud & Vendor Management Services team, you will participate in analysis, coordination, development and implementation of IT initiatives, strategies, and solutions to meet corporate, business and operational needs. Primary duties include:
- Facilitate partnerships with multiple business units for hybrid cloud or open-source services adoption, as we continue moving towards IT Service Broker model.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions/services using corporate integrated risk management framework, working closely with interested parties from Supply, Finance, Security, Access and Privacy, Legal and Industry advisories.
- Provide expertise for research, requirements gathering, negotiations, and strategic recommendations.
- Provide expertise in risk value analysis, financial analysis (TCO), procurement and sustainment strategies, contract management and vendor relationships.
- Complete technical and financial evaluations during various stages of technology procurement (Request For x[RFx]/Notice of Intent [NOI]) processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor on licensing compliance and risk mitigations by leading and facilitating internally with business clients and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and externally with vendors and industry advisors.
- Assist in technology planning, design, provisioning, implementations, support & sustainment and rollout of new processes/delivery models by engaging multiple interested parties.
Qualifications
- A completed 2 year Technical Diploma with at least 8 years of related experience; OR
- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with at least 4 years of related experience.
- Proven hands-on experience working with top global cloud service providers & open source communities/products will be considered an asset.
- Experience and/or knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management – service strategy, service design, service operations & transition and continuous service improvement (CSI) would be an asset.
- Ability to work in complex unstructured situations with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative and good judgment.
- You have strong strategic and critical thinking along with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others accompanied by well-developed presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and changing scopes and priorities.
